Container City

One of the main issues of modeling rendering scenes is that you often need objects to populate them, raging from simple decorations up to furniture, you realize you always need tons of different objects, specially if you want to keep each scenery unique.

For a while I've been modeling some random objects to use as scene props, for both inside and outside scenes, one of the objects i ended up dedicating a good amount of my time is shipping containers. (i blame the SCS Software guys for this). In my quest to keep them accurate as possible, i spent a good amount of time researching their details. this lead me to build a consistent set of 20ft shipping containers, with what i believed a good texturing method. Allowing me to create sets replicating the most known brands on the market.

But, as the time has passed, the way games and rendering handle certain aspects of the models have changed, and i felt it was time to update my models, as well include some new ones.

Feroci Racing Daikoku Futo HQ

Feroci Racing... if you know who they are, good, if you doesn't, that means you are out of the cool kids club. Their clubhouse sits near the Daikoku Futo PA, which makes it easier to gather people around to see their doings.

Being previously a storage depot, the unmarked 2 floor building was divided into workshop and parts storage on the 1st floor, clubhouse and administration on the 2nd floor. On the workshop area, each of the 3 garage stall has it own set of tools, ready to deal with any necessity of the team members car's. They are also divided with board walls, to ensure secrecy. Outside, 20ft containers serve as storage for misc stuff, as well a 6 spot parking lot.

There's still some stuff missing, like a paint booth sitting outside somewhere and a parking spot for the shop vehicles, but these will come along with time. The scene also needs some surround buildings, which i have yet not decided upon.

The Workers List

Since we are coming up from a previous project (the now defunct Kawasaki Project Blog),its a good idea to make a list of what is going on during this underground works phase.
